Three men have been charged following simultaneous raids on properties in Staffordshire. Layton Knapper, 18, and Warren Harrop, 19, both from Bucknall, and Logan Goodwin, 18, from Biddulph, have been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal. It comes after we went to eight properties in the north of the county on the 8/1/26, forcing entry at two. Eight people were arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit burglary with intent to steal. Four men and a teenager have been released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue. Knapper, Harrop and Goodwin appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Friday 9 January) and were remanded in custody to appear in court on Monday 26 January. Chief Inspector Cliff Goodwin, of the Newcastle-under-Lyme and Moorlands local policing teams, said: "Neighbourhood officers worked closely with a number of specialist teams to co-ordinate these searches yesterday. "We are working hard every single day across Staffordshire to act proactively against burglary, theft and robbery. “We recognise the harm and huge impact this type of crime has on victims and our work to combat it will continue. This includes gathering further intelligence and high-visibility proactive policing.” | ||
